Abstract:
Die vorgelegte experimentelle Studie untersucht inwieweit das Hormon Oxytocin die Stressantwort beeinflusst. Es stellte sich heraus, dass Oxytocin sowohl physische Stressparameter als auch subjektive Empfindungen moduliert.Teilnehmer der Studie waren Patienten mit Posttraumatischer Belastungsstörung und Patienten mit dissoziativen Symptomen. Besonders für diese Patienten spielt eine günstige Beeinflussung der Stressantwort für die alltägliche Lebensqualität eine große Rolle.

The presented experimental study investigates how the hormone oxytocin influences the physiological reactions of the body to distress. We found out that Oxytocin modulates physical and psychological reactions. Our study participants were patients who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and from dissociative symptoms. These patients particularly benefit from positiv influence on reactions to distress.
