- In der Studie wurde erstmalig der Einfluss des Alters abdominalchirurgischer Patienten auf den globalen enddiastolischen Volumenindex (GEDVI) untersucht und dieser in Bezug zur Oxygenierung gesetzt. Dabei stellte sich heraus, dass bei einer normalen Sauerstoffextraktionsrate der GEDVI bei den Patienten ≤ 60 Jahre signifikant geringer war als bei den Patienten > 60 Jahre. - Translated abstract:
- In the present study we examined for the first time the influence of age on the global end-diastolic volume index for abdominal surgical patients with respect to oxygenation. The results show that the global end-diastolic volume index was significantly lower for patients ≤ 60 years than for patients > 60 years. Based on our findings, the global end-diastolic volume index should be considered in conjunction with the oxygen extraction rate due to the individual Frank-Starling curve.
