The study “The Xenobiotic-Metabolising System in Human Immune Cells” investigated the cytochrome P450 (CYP)-dependent regulation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) in immune cells. CYP1 inhibition induced AHR-associated parameters such as the interleukin (IL)-22 and the stem cell factor receptor (c-Kit) in cells from healthy donors and patients suffering from chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis disease.
