- Abstract:
- In dieser Arbeit zeigte sich anhand 3.335 Prostatakarzinompatienten nach radikaler Prostatovesikulektomie mit positiver Familienanamnese für erstgradige Angehörige, dass ein letales Prostatakarzinom in der Familienanamnese und der Vererbungsmodus keine unabhängigen Prognosefaktoren für das biochemisch progressfreie und karzinomspezifische Überleben waren. Unterschiede in klinischen und histopathologischen Daten waren auf eine mutmaßlich frühere Teilnahme an Vorsorgeuntersuchungen zurückzuführen.

- In this study, based on 3,335 patients with prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy with a positive family history for prostate cancer in first-degree relatives, fatal family history for prostate cancer and mode of disease transmission were not independent predictors for biochemical recurrence-free and cancer-specific survival. Differences seen in clinical and histopathological features were caused by a presumed earlier participation in prostate cancer screening.
