Das kastrationsresistente Prostatakarzinom weist eine große Heterogenität bezüglich Progress, Therapieansprechen und Prognose auf. In dieser Studie wurde ein 2-Genmarkermodell aus prostataspezifischen Gentranskripten entwickelt, gewonnen aus Vollblut vor und nach Therapiebeginn, welches signifikant das Überleben von Patienten vor und nach einer Systemtherapie vorhersagt und als unabhängiger Prognosefaktor im Vergleich mit etablierten Markern im klinischen Alltag herangezogen werden kann.

Castration-resistant prostate cancer is a heterogeneous disease with a high variability of prognosis and treatment response among patients. In this study a 2-gene panel of prostate cancer-enhanced transcripts in whole blood was developed which significantly predicts the overall survival pre and post treatment. Compared to established markers this 2-gene panel can be used as an independent prognostic marker in clinical decision-making.
