Die temporäre Hemiepiphyseodese stellt den Goldstandard in der Behandlung von Beinachsenfehlstellungen im Wachstumsalter dar. Ziel der Studie war ein Vergleich des Korrektureffekts und der Komplikationen der klinisch erprobten Zweilochplatten-Implantate mit der wenig erforschten Schrauben-Methode (PETS). Es zeigte sich ein vergleichbar guter Korrektureffekt beider Implantate bei hohem Komplikationspotenzial in beiden Gruppen, was die Komplexität dieses Behandlungsgebiets unterstreicht.

Temporary hemiepiphyseodesis is the gold standard in the treatment of varus/valgus deformities in growing children. The aim of the study was to compare the correction effect and the complications of the clinically proven screw plate devices with the little researched transphyseal screws (PETS). A good correction effect of both implants was shown with a high potential for complications in both groups, which underlines the complexity of this surgical method.
